Alma Marie Schumacher-Aich, 75, died July 7, 2010, at Pleasant View Home in Inman. She was born July 16, 1934, in Munjor, Kan., to Felix and Elizabeth Ann Herrman Schumacher. She graduated from Hays High School in 1952. She was a homemaker, Far Mar Co supervisor, owned and operated a daycare, worked at Hutchinson Community College cafeteria concessions. She belonged to St. Teresa's Catholic Church. She married Arthur Paul Aich on Oct. 28, 1952, in Hays. He died Nov. 3, 2009.

Survivors include: sons, Kenneth Aich of Burrton, Donald Aich of Hutchinson; daughter, Debora Cobb and husband Gary of Burrton; brothers, LeRoy Schumacher and wife Darlene of Hutchinson; sister, Judy Weigel of Hutchinson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: parents; brother, Harry Schumacher; nephew, Ricky Schumacher.

Rosary at Elliott Chapel on Sunday July 11, 2010, at 6 p.m. with family receiving friends until 8 p.m. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday July 12, 2010, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Nicholas Voelker officiating. Burial to follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
