From THE STATE, Columbia, SC, 17 Nov 2009: Pomaria - Martha Virginia "Mot" Alewine Ringer, 78, died Monday, November 16, 2009, at her residence. Born March 18, 1931, in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Boyce S. and Bessie Haltiwanger Alewine. She retired from Winn Dixie and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught the 3-year-old Sunday School class for many years.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, James Harold Ringer; brothers, H.B. (Ann) Alewine of Rock Hill, Cecil (Dot) Alewine of Pomaria, and Ray (Jean) Alewine of Whitmire. Mrs. Ringer was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn A. Harmon, Jessie Roberta Alewine and brothers, Carroll Alewine, Sr., Henry Claude Alewine, Clarence Homer Alewine and Franklin Lamar Alewine.
Funeral service were be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Fred Suhr. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
