Death of Mrs. R. B. Page.
Mrs. Lena Elmora [Elnora] Page passed away Sunday morning at 5:30 o'clock of congestion of the stomach, after a four days illness. She was not considered in a critical condition until about three hours prior to her death.
Mrs. Page was born in Galena October 14, [11] 1884, the next year her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Spiva, moved to Fredericktown, Missouri, at which place she was married to Richard B. Page of Galena, June 7 [,] 1905, and has since that time resided in this city. Besides the husband and parents she is survived by two sisters, Miss May Spiva who resides with her parents in Joplin and Mrs. L. H. Matthews of Trinidad, Colorado, and six brothers, Ed Spiva of Galena, Will, George and Frank who reside in Joplin, Laurence of Trinidad, Colorado, and John of Dallas, Texas.
Hosts of friends mourn with those bereft the loss of this dear one whose sweet amiable disposition and many admirable traits of character endeared her to all who knew her.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence 810 Joplin street and interment was made in Mount Hope cemetery.
