Services for Lawrence W. Beery, 89, of 67445 County Road 11, who died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in his home, will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Old German Baptist Church. Burial will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery, Englewood, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa. A prayer service will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 112 N. Main St., Mishawaka, 46544.
Mr. Beery retired in 1982 as a farmer and a plumber. He was born March 20, 1900 near Dayton, Ohio. On May 24, 1924, he married Margaret E. Hissong, who died Dec. 21, 1963. On June 27, 1975, he married Orpha E. Tansey, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Joann Hege of Chambersburg, Pa., Ruth Ritter of Englewood and Naomi Bauman of Eltopia, Wash.; three sons, William H. of Collins, Miss., Paul L. of Mi-Wuk Village, Calif., and James D. of Nappanee; a stepdaughter, Ruth Ann Jones of Fort Myers, Fla; 33 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the church.
