Mrs. Joe Bailey Services Tuesday

LEONARD (Spl.) - Mrs. Joe E. Bailey, 87-year-old Leonard native, died Monday morning, Aug. 14, 1967, in a Leonard rest home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, 4 o'clock, at the First Methodist church in Leonard with the Rev. Milford Thompson, Dallas, a former pastor of the Leonard church, officiating. Burial will be in Bailey cemetery under direction of Earnheart Funeral Home of Whitewright.

Born July 28, 1880, in Leonard Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ready. She was married to Mr. Bailey in Leonard in 1901.

Survivors include one son, Bonnie Bailey of Leonard; one daughter, Mrs. Oscar Butler of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Golden and Mrs. Lena Bradley of Leonard, Mrs. Lona Crowley of San Antonio, and Mrs. Bay Smith of Brownfield; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Methodist church.
