Naples, N. Y. - The death of Isaac W. Wilcox, 82 years of age, occurred yesterday morning. Mr. Wilcox had been a prominent figure in this vicinity for 65 years. He was born in Rhode Island, but came to this county when a boy and began early to carve out for himself a home and fortune. He took land in the forests and by industry, economy and intelligent husbandry accumulated wealth, helped to build up a community and was honored with its leadership for many years. He broke down at last, and a few months ago moved his family to his home in this village, where he died. In August, 1857, Mr. Wilcox married Miss Mary Ann Garlinghouse, then of Richmond, and they celebrated their golden wedding last year. They had eleven children, ten of whom grew to maturity. Five remain with the mother, Ulric D., Mrs. Eliza L. Hotchkiss and Miss Mary Ann of Naples; Mrs. Wood and Miss Orpha of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Walter Cribb of Canandaigua. Two brothers of the deceased, Thomas and William of Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Edwin Alger of Richmond, are alive.
