Orangeburg - Ray W. Robinson, 68, of 1847 Cordova Road, Orangeburg, died early Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Hank Fanning officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Calhoun County, the son of the late Marion Talbert Robinson and the late Aileen Thompson Robinson Gray. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He was self-employed with his son at Ray Robinson Heating and Air. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anne Durr Robinson of Orangeburg; three daughters, Mrs. Geoff (Cindy) Kerr of Arkansas, Mrs. Vincent (Linda) McDaniel, Mrs. Mark (Gail) Stillinger, both of Orangeburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Ray 'Will' Robinson Jr. and Nikki Robinson of Orangeburg; nine grandchildren, Matthew Kerr, Brad and Tori McDaniel, Chuck, Zach, and Jessie Stillinger, Amber, Marlee and Riley Robinson; two brothers, J.T. Robinson of Gastonia, N.C., Gerald Robinson of Orangeburg, one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Jackie) Jefferson of North, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home.
