WILLIAMSBURG - Mr. James F. Ashlock Sr. passed away Jan. 5, 2004. He was a lifelong member of St. John Baptist Church-Penniman Road.

Survivors include sons, James Ashlock Jr. and Walter Ashlock, both of Newport News; daughters, Glendora Warren (Don) and Cordova Judge (Phillip), both of Hampton, Mary Ward of Mathews, Va., and Doretha Moore of Nyack, N.Y.; two brothers, Leroy and Junius Ashlock, both of Lightfoot, Va.; sisters, Carrie Clarke of Richmond, Lucille Taliaferro of Newport News, Viola Willis of Williamsburg, Marie Huston (James) of Hampton and Clara Washington of Lightfoot, Va.

A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, at Carter Funeral Home-Denbigh. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, at St. John Baptist Church-Penniman Road, Williamsburg, Va., with Pastor Solomon Wesley as officiant.
