Dolores was retired from the Board of Education, she was an assistant for Delegate Betty Workman. Dolores had many enjoyments, spending time and playing with her great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Grayson, made her forget her illness. She enjoyed children and was everyone's "Granny." She enjoyed being a part of the loveable Gibbner family and also being involved with her church, teacher and political friends and numerous organizations.
She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, now known as New Covenant United Methodist Church, with the wonderful Dr. Chris Gobrecth, Pastor.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Kinser and husband Kenny, and Tami Gibbner and husband Paul, all of Cumberland; two grandchildren, Christopher A. Wills, of Cumberland, and John G. Harshberger and wife Kelly, of Hyndman, Pa.; two great-grandchildren, Kay-lee Harshberger and Grayson Harshberger, of Hyndman, Pa.; one brother-in-law, John O. Turner and wife Janet, of Florida; special friends that loved and always took care of her, Dee and Sunny Morrale, Myra Ott, Naomi Himmelwright, Roberta Sherman, Sandi Emerson, and special furry friend, Sunshine; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., (www.scarpelli-funeralhomes.com) on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Chris Gobrecht officiating.
Interment will be in Schellsburg Cemetery, Schellsburg, Pa.
Memorial donations may be made to the New Covenant United Methodist Church, 1709 Frederick St., Cumberland, MD 21502.
