Lizzie Dunaway, 82, of Trinity, passed away Monday night, May 7, 1973 at the Eastway General Hospital in Houston. Mrs. Dunaway was born in Texas on Feb. 1, 1891 to John George Thomas and Laura Ann Baggett, and had lived in Trinity County for the greater part of her lifetime. She was a member of the Church of God.

Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Taylor Cemetery, near Trinity, with Rev. Joe Bailey Barnes and Rev. Walter Cooksey officiating.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Laura Sims and Mrs. Joyce Carpenter, both of Houston; three sons, James and Raymond Dunaway, both of Houston,and J. T. Dunaway of Trinity; a sister, Mrs. Ida Miller of Rockdale; 27 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
