MARY ALICE ZUENDEL
7-24-1900 -- 7-24-1919

Mary Alice, daughter of Ernest E. and Anna Ledebur Zuendel, both deceased, was born July 24th, 1900, at Starr, and passed away at the home of her grandfather, C. F. Ledebur of German Hill, on July 24, 1919, on her 19th birthday after an illness extending over a year.

The deceased was one of the most cheerful of the young ladies of her set, being the life of any gathering of young people and having a friend in every acquaintance. Ever hopeful she bore her affliction with the same cheerfulness and sweetness of disposition that had characterized her life from early childhood, and the last few months, when her suffering was most intense her fortitude never forsook her and never a word of complaint passed her lips.

Surviving are five brothers and three sisters, namely: Ray; Rex, in the west; Roy, still in France; Walter; Chester; Effie; Alta; and Helen Zuendel.

Funeral services in her memory were conducted at the home of her grandfather on Sunday, by the Rev. J. F. Scherer of the Endeavor Presbyterian church, and the tired body was laid to rest in the Zuendel church cemetery, beside those of her parents.

Note: her death certificate indicates she was born in Endeavor, PA.
