RAMSEY - Espy D. Brown, 82, of Ramsey died 11:35 a.m. Wednesday (July 7, 2010) in Pana Community Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Sutton Funeral Home, Nokomis, with the Rev. Leon Goff officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery. Memorials: Center Community Church. He married Evelyn Louise Murkin on June 12, 1945, in Vandalia. She preceded him in death Sept. 14, 2001. Surviving are his sons, Jimmy and wife Shirley Brown of Ramsey; the Rev. Danny and wife Rose Brown of Oconee; daughters, Mildred E. and husband Carl Morefield of Ramsey; Tonya and husband John Rowe of Attica, Ind.; Bernadine and husband Donald Williamson of Hillsboro; Amanda and husband Russell Hranicka of Mulberry Grove; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; brother, Wilton Brown of Effingham; sisters, Esther Washburn of Ramsey; Pauline Washburn of Williamsville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; five brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter.
