Kirbyville-Funeral for Vernon Bean, 67, will be at 10:30 AM today in Causey E E Stringer Funeral Home with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery. He died about 8 PM, Tuesday at the residence of his brother, Mayor Oscar J Bean of Kirbyville, after an illness. A native of Magnolia Springs, he was a lifelong area resident. Survivors include two daughters, LaVerne Colletti of Beaumont and Diana Jacobs of Buna; two brothers, L M Bean of Houston and Oscar Bean of Kirbyville; three sisters, Mrs K O Stowell of Houston, Mrs V H Newton of Bowie and Mrs Fred Orem of Salinas, California.
