Mrs. Graham, 65, of Augusta Dies Following Attack

Mrs. Grace DeGroot Graham, 65, of Augusta died suddenly of a heart attack Saturday afternoon at the home of her son, Lawrence Graham, with whom she lived.

Her son and daughter-in-law had gone to Quincy on Saturday afternoon, and her grandchildren were playing in the yard. The children found her following the attack and summoned help, but she was declared dead.

Mrs. Graham was the daughter of the late Ed DeGroot and Lena Abbott DeGroot, and was born in Adams county, Oct. 13, 1880. She was married to Lewis Graham, a farmer, in 1906, and three years later they moved to Augusta. Mr. Graham dies several years ago. Mrs. Graham was a faithful member of the Methodist church.

Surviving is the one son and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Augusta Methodist church with Rev. F.M. Haworth officiating. Burial was in Huntsville.
