Betty J. Keplinger

Age 75, of Elkton, MD, passed away at home on Saturday, July 7, 2007, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer.

Betty was born in Linglestown, PA, the youngest of 12 children. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth McClintock and Oliver McClintock. She married the love of her life, Fred Keplinger, on October 1, 1951 in Westminster, MD. She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook and baker. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, yard sales, and especially being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Fred Keplinger, of Elkton, MD; 6 children, daughters, Jeannie Keplinger, of Elkton, MD, Patricia Chambers and husband Rich, of Middletown, DE, Sharon Flohr and husband, Doug, of Newark, DE, Dawn M. Poore, of Maryland; 2 sons, Fred Keplinger, Jr., and wife, Kathy, of New Castle, DE and James Keplinger, of Elkton, MD; 2 remaining siblings, Mary Tolbert and Alice Anderson, both of Carlisle, PA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by our "little angel," Dana.

Services will be held at Baptist Bible Church, Appleton Road, Elkton, MD at 7 pm, on Tuesday, July 10, where friends may call after 6 pm, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to the Baptist Bible Building Fund, c/o GEE FUNERAL HOME, 259 E. Main Street, Elkton, MD.
