Mrs. Lillie Cambron Mattingly, 82, Loretto, wife of Louis Mattingly, Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thelma Berry, Louisville, where she had been the past eight months. She had been ill several years. Funeral, 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church, St. Francis. The body is at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto. Judith sent a second obituary as follows:
Mrs. Millie Cambron Mattingly, 82, wife of Louis Mattingly, former longtime resident of the St. Francis Community, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thelma Berry, in Louisville, with whom she and Mr. Mattingly had made their home the past 8 months. Mrs. Mattingly had been ill several years. She was a native of St. Francis, a daughter of Emanuel and Kate Buckler Cambron. She and her husband had been married 63 years, having wed at St. Charles Church on November 21, 1901. He survives. Also surviving are the one daughter, Mrs. Berry, and two brothers, Clevie Cambron, Lebanon, and Adrian Cambron, St. Francis; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The body was brought to Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. yesterday by the Rev. John Talbott Spalding at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
