A. L. Smitley, Jr.
Abraham Lincoln Smitley, Jr., 44 years old, died at 11:45 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home at Hardy Hill, Dunbar, of complications.
Mr. Smitley, a mechanic for the New Castle Lime & Stone Company, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Jane Smitley, and the following children: Lawrence Smitley and Mrs. Gertrude Cloatch both of Dunbar and Mrs. Betty Duckworth of Leisenring No. 3 and Ruth, Imogene, Dorothy and Phyllis, at home. There are also two grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: A. K. Smitley of Bobtown, G. R. Smitley of Gilman, Iowa, P. C. Smitley of Dunbar, J. D. Smitley of Lemont, Mrs. Frank Wadsworth of Allison and Mrs. Margaret Gray of Dunbar.
The body will be taken at 12:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon to the Franklin Memorial Methodist Church at Dunbar where it will lie in state until 2 o'clock when a service will be conducted by Rev. William S. Hamilton, pastor. Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
