Daughter of Cecil Edward and Myrtle Elizabeth (??) Chester. Raised by Cecil and his 2nd wife Carolyn Marie (Rhodes) Chester. Sister to Frances (Rivers), Jack E Chester and Carolyn Jane Chester. Married Clarence Martin Rhodes (died July 14, 2006 - 21 years to the day after The love of his life) on August 2, 1946. Mother of: Betty Sue Hartman, Mary Rebecca (Becke) Parks, Patricia Lynn Stafford, Sheila Jon Rhodes(dec), Joe Martin Rhodes, Penne Diane Welch, Debra Jane Callaway and Dusty Anne Buttram. Died at St. Francis Hospital - Wichita, Ks. after a 9 year battle with cancer. She fought a Good fight! Mother was known for her "Can Do" attitude and her lovely sewing skills. She would cut out a three piece suit on Friday evening and daddy would wear it to church Sunday morning. (Including the one he's wearing in this picture) She was a long time member of Faith United Church of Christ and was employed for numerous year at the Credit Bureau of Wichita.
