EAST PEORIA IL - Delmar B. Goodson, 87, of 205 Meadows Ave. died at 8:43 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 1994, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. Born Aug. 5 1907 in Dudleyville, IL to John C. and Della Mae Swick Goodson, he married Anna Cooper on Jan. 1, 1933, in Salem. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Joe A. of Aurora; one daughter, Mrs. John (Marilyn J.) Kauffman of Carol Stream; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death. [Duard and Claude]He worked at Buick Aviation in Melrose Park and in the tool room at Caterpillar Inc. for 25 years. He was a member of Hilton Masonic Lodge 1143, AF&AM; and the Order of Eastern Star Cloverleaf Chapter 1002. He attended First Baptist Church in East Peoria. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Richard Ricks will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.

Delmar's mother died Mar 1910 when he was only 3 years old.
He had an older brother Claude 5 years old and a brother Duard who died at birth 1903. Their dad John lived with his mother with his son's until he remarried to Sarah Myrtle Erisman by 1930. Sarah passed on 1940. John died 1955 @ 81yo.
