James Albert was the son of James Thomas and Dicie (Dizy) Curtis. James married Mary Jane Williams, September 17, 1887 in Pope co., Arkansas. They were the parents of Arvel Curtis, Calvin Curtis, Daniel Curtis, Ellen Curtis, Fielding Curtis, Ionie Curtis, Marion Curtis, Richard Curtis, Rhoda Rebecca Matilda (Tildy) (Curtis)Morris, and Nettie (Curtis) Aday. James Albert Curtis is the 1st cousin of George Thomas (Black Tom) Curtis, and George Thomas' 2nd wife, Rhoda Rebecca (Hurst) (Williams) Curtis, is the mother of James Albert's wife, Mary Jane Williams. Rhoda's 1st husband was Jeremiah (Jerry) Williams the father of Mary Jane Williams. James Albert's wife Mary Jane is buried in Forks of Creek Cemetery also. The picture displayed with a line and circle is the Civil War stone of Calvin Elijah Hurst, the father of Rhoda Rebecca (Hurst) (Williams) Curtis, and my great-great-grandfather.
