David Robert Benz was the son of Robert Benz and Sharon Elizabeth McDermott Benz. Brother to Nadine Marie Benz and Julia Lynn Benz and Uncle to Nicholas Youker, Taylor Youker, Ryan Hall and Joshua Hall. Grandson of Alice Wilma McDermott and Francis Paul McDermott. Great Grandson of Idella Smith Davis and William Page, and Annie Johnston McDermott and James Francis McDermott.
He was my beloved nephew, who I remember as laughing and happy. He was curious and excited when he learned somthing new and he had tons of hotwheels. David lived a brave life. He suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. But he would always smile.
He is missed by his sisters, his father, his grandmother and myself, his aunt greatly. But he's our angel.
