Born to Woody and Aileen Johnson on August 2, 1911, in Tallahassee, Florida, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roberts; her brothers, Marvin, Wilford and Frank Johnson; and a sister, Leila Barnes. She is survived by a daughter, Leona Harrell (John) of Jacksonville, Florida; a son, John Ray Roberts (Amy) of Tallahassee, Florida; a sister, Evelyn Appleby of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers, Irvin and Mack Johnson of Tallahassee; 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 12 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren; and a lot of nieces and nephews.
She was a longtime member of Brandy Branch Baptist Church in Bryceville, Florida, and also a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida. She owned and operated a very successful business in Jacksonville before retiring.
