Andrew D. Bailey, 77, 915 Indiana St., passed away at 9:20 p.m. Friday at the Community Care Center, where he had been a patient of ro14 days following a long illness.
A lifelong resident of Adams county, Mr. Bailey retired from the Decatur General Electric Co., in 1962 after 21 years of service.
Born Nov. 20, 1897 to Peter and Mamie Uhrich-Bailey, he was married on Sept. 13, 1923 to Mabel DeBolt, who survives.
Also surviving is one son. William of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wolfe of Columbia City and Mrs. Dan (Dora) Rhodes of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Frank and Rufus of Decatur, and Robert of route 6, Decatur; and two grandchildren. One son, two daughters and two brothers, Peter and Dan, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Zwick Funeral Home, Rev. Sylvester Martin in charge. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday until time of the services. Burial will be in the Clark’s Chapel Cemetery in Union township.
