MRS. SARAH KRAMER'S OBITUARY
Mrs Saran Kramer was born in Warren County, Indiana on May 10, 1844, and passed away on Feb. 17, 1924 at her home in Olin, Iowa. Age 79 years, nine months, and seven days. In 1856 she moved with her parents to Iowa, who settled near Wyoming.
In 1866 on the 17 day of Dec. Miss Truax was united in marriage to Joshua Kramer. To this union were born four sons: Wm. A. who died a t the age of eleven years while Mr. and Mrs. Kramer lived in Kansas, George H. of Olin, James M. who live on a farm north of Olin, and John. A. of Olin. Besides the three living sons there is left to mourn her departure, her husband, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many relatives and a host of friends. Two sisters survive her; Mrs. Margarette Sealls of Olin, and Mrs. Elizabeth White of Marion.
Since coming to Iowa she has resided in or near Olin, except the seven years spent in Kansas. During the pastorate of Rev. Harper she was converted in a meeting conducted a t Merritt Chapel and united with the United Brethren Church in March 1892. She continued in this church relation until her death.
During the closing years of her life she had the thoughtful tender care of her sons who did all that they could to make the closing days comfortable and happy. Four scores years of activity and earthly cares had completely exhausted her physical forces. In peaceful slumber she crossed the Bar. And today we lay away this temple of clay whose spirit has returned to God who gave it. The funeral services were conducted at the United Brethren Church by the pastor H. T. Miller. Her body was laid to rest south of Olin to wait the Resurrection morn.
