Mrs. Mary Lou Cunningham, 81, of the Carter's Seminary community, died Saturday, Nov. 5, in the Cookeville General Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral service were held on Monday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home with burial in the Carter Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs Ima Elrod of Sparta; four sons, Orbie and Thurman Carter, of Sparta; William Cunningham, of Lowell, Ind.; Dewey Cunningham, of Sparta; two stepdaughters, Christine Cunningham, of Crown Point, Ind.; and Opal Cunningham, of Indianapolis, Ind.; three stepsons, John Carter, of Melvindale, Mich.; Harve Carter, of Sparta; and Lloyd Cunningham, of Shelby, Ind.; 26 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
