MRS. CHARLOTTE G. NUNEMAKER, 96, widow of Edward B. Nunemaker, long-time resident of Mont Alto, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday at the Waynesboro Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past 10 years and since February was confined to her bed at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dorcas Reed, 255 Park St.
She was born August 24, 1870, near Fayetteville, a daughter of the late George and Mary Gift.
Most of her life had been lived in Mont Alto. For a number of years she worked at the Mont Alto shirt factory.
Her husband died in 1925. She was a member of the Mont Alto Methodist Church.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Reed, she is survived by one, son, Oscar E. Nunemaker, Mont Alto. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mont Alto Methodist Church in charge of the Rev. Frank Bergstrom. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mont Alto. Friends may call at the Grove Funeral Home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
