The son of Jesse Daniel Mobley and Tobitha Taylor. He was married to Lucy Lucinda Crews and had five children: Lacy, Donald, Rufus Claude, Jesse Daniel, Annie Mae Mobley Thrift,
Edgar Ferdinand Mobley, and Linnie Lucille Mobley

MOBLEY -- Funeral services for Andrew Jackson Mobley, 86, who lived at Macclenny, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Macedonia Methodist Church, five miles north of Macclenny, with Rev. L. A. Barnes officiating, assisted by Rev. R. E. Thrift. Mr. Mobley died Tuesday morning at the residence following a brief illness. He was a native of Baker County and a retired carpenter. He was a member of the Macedonia Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lucy Crews Mobley; a daughter, Mrs. R. E. Thrift of Macclenny; three sons. W. Lacy Mobley of Starke, Jesse D. Mobley of Citra and Donald B. Mobley of Macclenny; 24 grandchildren, and 50 great-grandchildren. The body will rest at the residence from Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. until Thursday at 11:15 when it will be moved to the church to rest until the funeral hour. Active pallbearers will be Eugene Mobley, Danny Thrift, Edward Mobley, Fulton Mobley, Jimmie Mobley and Elgin Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be Tate Powell Sr., G. W. Garrett, Dr. John Holt, R. J. Davis, J. R. Thrift and O. D. Weatherington. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery. Funeral arragements are under the direction of John M. Brinkley, Mortician, Macclenny, Florida. Florists are asked to have flowers in Macclenny by 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
