Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ethel Ellington, 89, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 1994 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Rev. Daniel Hall officiated. Interment was in Acona Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellington, a longtime resident of Lexington, died of congestive heart failure Tuesday, December 27, 1994 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Clinton where she had been a resident for the past several years.
Survivors include a son, Charles S. Ellington of Corinth; daughter, Bettie E. Curtis of Clinton; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Charles Birch, Donnie Hill, Jerome Hill, Jimmy Fisher, John Hall and Thad Pratt.
