The many friends of Mrs. Lavina
Adcock will pay their last respects to
her tomorrow morning at 10 clock at
the residence, near Bear Creek. The
services will be conducted by Rev. J.
F. Robertson, pastor of the Williard
Street M. E. church. Interment will
take place in the Shaul cemetery. Mrs.
Adcock was 52 years of age and was
born on the farm where death claim-
ed her. She leaves seven children,
all at home. They are Harry, Will,
Clara, Edna, Oscar, Frank and Orville.

OBITUARY.
Mrs. Lovina E. Adcock.
Mrs. Lovina E. Adcock, widow of the
late McDonald Adcock, died at her
home, four and one-half miles west of
Ottumwa, at 12:25 o'clock Tuesday,
January 16.
Mrs. Adcock has been in poor health
for some time and suffered an imme-
diate attack of heart failure. Her
death was a shock to the family, as
well as to her friends.
Lovina Shank was born on the
farm on which she lived, July 17, 1859,
and spent her entire life on the same
place. She was married tb Mr. Adcock
in 1877 and made their home on the
farm on which she lived.
Mrs. Adcock was a person devoted
to the best interest of her home and
family, and held the respect and confi-
dence of all with whom she came in
contact.
She leaves to mourn her loss the
following children: Harry W., William,
Clara, Edna, Oscar, Frank and
Orville, who reside at home. Also one
sister, Miss Ida Shank, who lived with
her. and two half sisters, Mrs. Mary
McGahen, Robinson, Kas., Mrs. Laura
Sarver, New Sharon, Iowa, and one
half brother, Will Shank, Warsaw,
Mo.
The funeral services were held from
the residence Thursday, January 18, at
10 o'clock a. m., conducted by Rev. J.
F. Robertson, pastor of the Willard
Street Methodist church.
