Grace Meredith was born on Sunday, November 22, 1936 in York, South Carolina to William Joseph and Alma Harrall Meredith. She grew up there. In April of 1956 she married Loyce Quitman Roberts who was the love of her life. They got married in Hendry, Florida where they both worked at the time. They moved home to O'Brien, Florida soon after marriage. Grace and Loyce had six children, Leroy, Glen, Loyce, nicknamed Tarzan, Nancy, Frances and Irma. There marriage was a happy one. Grace A. Roberts, 73, of O'Brien, FL passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 after a long illness. The York, South Carolina native lived most of her life in O'Brien, Fl. Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and a member of the O'Brien Baptist Church. She is survived by her three daughters: Nancy Roberts (Mike McGowan) Perry, Fl, Frances Chastain (Tommy) Perry, Fl, and Irma Mann (Randy) Jasper, Fl; Three sons: Leroy Roberts (Ellen) Mayo, Fl, Glen Roberts (Lisa) Gastonia, NC and Loyce Roberts (Mary) O'Brien, Fl; Three sisters: Viola Brom, York, South Carolina, Lula Mae Sexton, Kings Mountain, NC and Oline Rodriguez, Collin, Tx; One brother: Isaac Meredith, Clover, SC.; Fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was pre-ceded in death by her husband Loyce Q. Roberts. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 3, 2010 in the O'Brien Baptist Church with Rev .Mike McInnis officiating. Interment will follow in the O'Brien Cemetery. Daniels Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. Of Live Oak is in charge of all arrangements.
