Nillie L. Stallings, 73, of Caraway died Friday, July 2, 2010, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

Mrs. Stallings was born on Aug. 24, 1936, in Rivervale to Benjamin Franklin Shasteen and Lula Irene Gregory Shasteen.

Mrs. Stallings was a member of the Buffalo Chapel Baptist Church, retired from Basler Electric Co., collected angels and enjoyed spending time with her husband traveling and going to their place in the hills.

Survivors include her husband, Leo Stallings of Caraway; one son, Kenny Stallings and wife Patty of Caraway; two brothers, Doyle Shasteen and wife Maryetta of Jonesboro and Jerry Shasteen and wife Linda of Caraway; three sisters, Claudine Coggins and husband Virgil of Agnes, Bobbie Smart of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Brenda Wheeler and husband Norman of Monette; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Stallings was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Patricia Ann Stone and Debra Lynn Kelems; two grandsons, Brian Matthew Stallings and Bradley Edward Stone; one granddaughter, Madison Paige Stone; two brothers, Sherman Shasteen and Larry Shasteen; and two sisters, Juanita Rutledge and Beatrice Shasteen.

Funeral services were held at Caraway First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Interment was in Caraway Cemetery.
