Charles C. Deitzler died today at age 86 in the Good Samaritan Hospital after a short illness. He resided at 735 N. Hanover St. He was a retired layout man for the Lebanon Steel Foundry, a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and director of the Messiah Lutheran Orchestra. He played in the Perseverance and Rehrersburg bands and was a member of Local 750, American Federation of Musicians. Survivors include a son, Claude, and a daughter, Claire P., wife of Paul Hoffa, both of Lebanon; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces.
