Peter J. Albomonte, 74, of Momence, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999 at Riverside Medical Center, following a sudden illness.

Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Cotter Funeral Home in Manteno, where services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Keith GeRue will officiate. Burial will be in Momence Cemetery, Momence. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.

He was born May 21, 1924 in Chicago the son of John and Rose Longo Albomonte.

Surviving are his wife, the former Louise E. Zack, whom he married Jan. 26, 1946 in Chicago; one son, James P. Albomonte of Momence; one daughter and son-in-law, Peterette and Dennis Panozzo of Tinley Park; two grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Frances Zack of Momence; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Margaret Krenkel of Crystal Falls, Mich, Virginia Pavlik of Calumet City, and Agatha and Lawrence Hill of Dalton; one sister-in-law, Mabel Albomonte of Munster, Ind.

Deceased are one brother and two sisters. Mr. Albomonte was a retired employee from Monarch Laundry in Chicago.
