Civil War: enlisted 27 Feb 1864 at Union, Indiana. Private in Company "I" 42nd Regiment of Indiana Volunteers. Discharged: 21 July 1865, Louisville, Kentucky. Pension #2388185. Injury sustained to right eye. Civil War records list: Eyes: Hazel, Hair: Light, Complexion: Light, Height: 6'1"
