Marshall was born in Portland. He was a dentist.

Marshall is survived by his companion, Dace Drougas; and daughters, Theresa Holt, Sheryl Taylor and Laurie Miller.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, in Bethany Memorial Cemetery, Warren. Arrangements by Columbia Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Marshall Keith Miller, DMD, of St. Helens passed away June 25, 2010, at his home surrounded by family. He was 75.

Mr. Miller was born May 5, 1935, in Portland to Hermon Norma and Viola E. (Cooper) Miller, and was the eldest of two sons.

During his youth he was member of the Boy Scouts of America and received the Certification of Eagle Scout. Throughout his life he would continue his support of his old Boy Scout troop.

In 1953 he graduated from Grant High School, received his Bachelor of Science degree from OSU in 1957, and DMD from Oregon University School of Dentistry, now OHSU, in 1961. Moving to St. Helens in 1960, he practiced dentistry for over 30 years.

Active in his local community, he was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge of St. Helens, Rotary Club, past president of the Columbia County Dental Association, and past director of the Oregon Dental Society Board.
An avid OSU alumnus and member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, he loved boating, snow skiing, wood working, and playing the piano.

In 1993 he met the love of his life, Dace Drougas. They shared a love of adventure and traveled around the world, including the Panama Canal, Mediterranean Islands and many trips to Alaska and Hawaii.

He is survived by his companion, Dace Drougas; daughters, Theresa Holt, Sheryl Taylor, and Laurie Miller; grandchildren, Brittney Smith, Kelsey Smith, Chelsea Taylor, Wyatt Taylor, and Ryann Drougas; and extended family, Elizabeth and Brian Kirk, David and Tami Drougas and Andrea Drougas.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or the Oregon State University Scholarship Fund.
