Services for Mr. Willie G. "Bo" Wilcox, 77, who died August 27, in Dublin V.A. Hospital, after an extended illness were held Monday in the chapel of the Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Rev. James Wilcox and Mr. Jack Floyd officiated with burial in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Wilcox lived most of his like in Jeff Davis County. He was the son of the late Lewis and Leacy Hand Wilcox. He was a veteran, a retired farmer and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Wilcox of Douglas; a step-daughter, Doris McEachin of Vidalia; a sister, Mrs. Mary Terry of Hazlehurst; two brothers, Mr. Henry Wilcox of Denton and Mr. B.L. Wilcox of Hazlehurst; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were S.G. Austin, Burch Wilcox, Roger Varnadore, Marie Rowland, Harry Rowland, Ronnie Wilcox, James E. Wilcox and Johnny Batten.
Music was rendered by Willie Mae Hutto, Sarah Mosley and Velma Mise.
