Stanford--Pearl Evelyn Metrovich, 93, a resident of the Stanford area for most of her life, died of natural causes Thursday at a Great Falls nursing home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Stanford. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Highland Cemetery in Great Falls. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. Croxford and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
She was born Dec. 10, 1898, in Conneaut, Ohio. She grew up in the Arrow Creek area, where her parents homesteaded, and she attended schools there.
In 1919 she married Pete Metrovich in Great Falls. They made their home in Arrow Creek, where he was a foreman on the Milwaukee Railroad. In 1929 they started farming. She remained on the farm until 1966, when she moved to Stanford.
She was a member of the Stanford Senior Citizens and the Presbyterian Women's Association at the Stanford church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Reilly of Stanford, Irene Graden of McAllister, Evelyn McVay of Kalispell and Louise LeMond of Lewistown; a son, Peter Metrovich of Great Falls; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953, and by two sisters and a grandson.
