"Jesse David Akers, 86, of 501 Truex St., Died here Wednesday. A former city policeman, he was a life resident of San Antonio and a member of the Assembly of God Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Akers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rutledge Cemetery, Poteet.

Survivors include a Daughter, Mrs. Melissa (P.J.) Cox; son, Floyd Akers, both of San Antonio, Brother, John R. Akers, Poteet; Sisters, Mrs. Cora Gilbert of San Benito and Mrs. Blanch Bailey and Mrs. Jenny Stacey, both of Poteet."
