She moved with her parents to a farm near Fairfield, Nebraska, later moving to Webster County when she was about 16 years of age. In 1897 she was united in marriage to James H Greenhalgh. To this union were born one son, Charles E. And one daughter, Mabel I.

Because of failing health she spent the last two years of her life in a nursing home at Red Cloud where she brought joy to many.

The funeral service was held Sunday, February 4, 1973, at the United Methodist Church in Guide Rock, with sermon by Rev. Charles Burt.

Mrs. Alyce Watters Bishop sang for this service, with Mrs. Joe Hunter at the Oregon.
