William Mount Dies At Home
Deceased Farmer is Very Well Known to Knox County.
William Mount, a resident of Knox county for over fifty years and one of the best known farmers in this vicinity, died last evening at 9:30 o?clock at his home, two and one half miles north of Abingdon. He was 79 years old and his death was due to heart trouble and old age. His wife has been dead for some years and he has been living with his son. Mr. Mount has been living a quiet, retired life for a number of years. During his early life he was actively engaged in farming and was known as an excellent manager. He was a member of the Congregational Church at Abingdon. He leaves one son, George, with whom he had been living, and a daughter Miss Lillian Mount of Atlantic, Iowa. Robert Mount of Des Moines, Iowa, is a brother and is expected here for the funeral. The services will probably be held tomorrow afternoon from the Congregational church in Abingdon. The interment will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.
