RAYMONDVILLE, TX—Benito Chavez ,88,
of Raymondville, TX, entered into rest Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in La Hacienda Nursing Home. He was born on
December 18, 1921 in Lasara, TX, son of the late Jose Maria Chavez, Sr. and Maria Guadalupe Cavazos.

Surviving are two sons, Adan (Leticia) Chavez and Oscar (Maria) Chavez of Lasara; six daughters Eva (Joe) Guerra of San Antonio, Elva C. Doria of Lasara, Anna Maria Trevino of Harlingen, Olga (Ramiro) C. Garcia of Corpus Christi, Norma Benavides of San Antonio, Nelda Chavez of Lasara and two brothers, Alejandro Chavez of Sebastian and N.R. Chavez of Lasara; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Duddlesten Funeral Home, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning until the funeral service.

A rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Raymondville. Friday, March 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with interment in Chavez Cemetery under the direction of Duddlesten Funeral Home.
