The Paris News. Fri.. Dec. 20, 1974:
Lonnie E. Rease died Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been ill for the past few days. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday in the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home
Chapel, the Rev. Gary Regan and the Rev. Phil McLarty will officiate.Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under direction of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. He was born June 3,1892 in New Boston, Tex., son of the late Miles Rease and Rosie Warwick Rease. He was a World War I veteran and was a graduate of Paris Commercial College. He married Miss Bertha May Durst on June 4, 1921 at New Boston. After their marriage they moved to Paris and had been living here since. He was a retired insurance salesman. He had been associated with American National Insurance Co. for a number of years and was later associated with Texas Prudential Insurance Co. He had been retired for the past 15 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of Builders Sunday School Class of the United Methodist Church and was a member of Methodist Men.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, three grandchildren; one brother, Alfred Rease of New Boston; one sister, and one halfbrother, William Ellis Milam of Wichita Falls.
