Evelyn, the daughter of the later Frederick and Ella (Soltwedel) Hasz, was born on May 7, 1918, in Loganville, Wis. She was married to Harley L. Rogers from Aurora, Ill. on June 16, 1938.
Evelyn worked at Flambeau Plastics, Baraboo Floral, and St. Vincent DePaul's. After retiring at age 74, Evelyn continued her charity work for St. Vincent's until the time of her death. She loved gardening, there wasn't a flower she didn't know or couldn't grow. She also enjoyed traveling and collecting.
