PANHANDLE (Spc) - Services for Kenneth Wayne Meaker, 35, are pending with Smith-Fox Funeral Directors.

Mr. Meaker died at his home Monday from gunshot wounds.

He was born Aug. 8, 1948 in Amarillo, and was a lifetime resident of Panhandle. He graduated from Panhandle High School in 1968 and attended Amarillo College.

Mr. Meaker was a farmer. He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, and James Mecaskey VFW Post.

Survivors include two sons, Jared Neal and Ron Lance, both of the home; a daughter, Michelle Renee of the home; a brother, James Meaker of Panhandle; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Meaker, of Panhandle.

PANHANDLE - Rosary for Kenneth Wayne Meaker, 35, will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in St. Theresa's Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Herb Tavenner, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Smith-Fox Funeral Directors.

Mr. Meaker was born in Amarillo and had spent most of his life in Panhandle. He was a 1966 graduate of Panhandle High School and attended Amarillo College. He was a farmer and also worked for Orkin Exterminating Company in Amarillo.

He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jared Neal Meaker and Robin Lance Meaker; a daughter, Michelle Renee Meaker; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeeRoy Meaker of Panhandle; and a brother, James Meaker of Panhandle.
