Lorna K. Fogler-Hollman, 87, of Farina, died at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Peter, with the Rev. William Emrick officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Pagel Funeral Home and an hour before services on Wednesday at the church. Memorials: Fayette County Relay for Life or St. Peter's Lutheran Church ceiling fan fund.
Mrs. Fogler-Hollman was born on Feb. 13, 1921, in Fayette County, the daughter of Martin F. and Olga F. Wachholz Schnarre. She married Charles Fogler on Oct. 14, 1945; he died on April 26, 1991. She married Victor Hollman on May 27, 1998.
She was a homemaker, the former owner/operator of Frontier Village Gift Shop in Farina and also worked at Hammond-Lane Boarding Home in Farina. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the the Farina American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband; sons, LaVerne Fogler and his wife Bobbie of Chandler, Ariz., and Corwyn Fogler and his wife Trudy of Farina; daughter, Tena and her husband Roy Smith of Louisville; stepdaughters, Joyce and her husband Jack Connours of Effingham, and Vickie Darling of Effingham; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; daughter-in-law, Sue Fogler; and brother, Alwin Schnarre.
