Jemima was born in Maidenhead Twp., old Hunterdon Co., NJ (now Lawrence Twp., Mercer Co.), the daughter of William Hart and Hannah Laning. She married Joseph Pierson on 3 Dec. 1795 in old Hunterdon Co. They had 9 children together, all of whom are linked below.
She died of "old age" in her 97th year, at her home on Cold Soil Road, Lawrence Twp. According to her obituary, she was survived by 6 children, 27 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
