Fred Horace Tumlinson, age 86, of Liberty Hill, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Round Rock, Texas. He was born on August 2,1923 in Harwood, Texas to James Thomas and Alma Elizabeth "Lizzy" Alsobrook. Fred married the love of his life, Ruth Neal on May 16, 1944 in Gonzales, Texas. Mr. Tumlinson was self-employed in the construction business before his retirement and was a Baptist by faith.
Surviving relatives include his wife of nearly 66 years, Ruth Neal Tumlinson; his three children, Patsy Tumlinson Adams, John Wayne Tumlinson, and Billie Lee Tumlinson. He is also survived by his 10 delightful grandchildren; Paula, Arnold, Amy, Julie, Ricky, Eric, John, Gunnar, Benjamin, and Elizabeth. These grandchildren were his pride and joy. His stories and humor will continue to live on through them.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, eleven brothers, and two sisters.
Family and friends will celebrate Fred's life during a time of visitation and remembrances at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas.
Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 15, 2010 in the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas.
