He graduated from Dixon High School in 1942. He married Nadine Jorgensen on May 25, 1947 at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Wayne. The couple farmed by Concord for 58 years, before moving to Wayne in 2005. Paul moved to Wakefield in 2006. Along with farming, Paul did custom corn shelling for many years. Woodworking was a major part of Paul's life. He loved making children's furniture, rocking horses, cedar chests, clocks and scroll sawing many intricate projects.
Paul is survived by his daughter Karen and her husband Larry Witt of Wakefield, two grandchildren; Cory Witt of Omaha and Christy Witt of Wakefield, sisters Ellen Roberts and Gertrude Sawtells of Tonasket, Washington, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nadine, a daughter Cheryl, brother Sterling Borg and a sister Mildred Stell.
