He lived independently with his wife until just prior to his death. They had four children: Robert Lrod Dorough 12 Dec 1923, Alma Jean Dorough Hess 4 Nov 1925, Lewis Edward Dorough 7 Jul 1933, and Aaron Gregory Dorough 29 May 1935.
