John L. 69, 203 Crawford St., Kelso, died Feb. 19 at a Vancouver hospital. Born May 16, 1887 at Sac City, Iowa, he lived in this area for 50 years. Mr. Doble was a millwright and a carpenter at Longview Fibre Co. for 26 years before his recent retirement. He was a World War II **Veteran, a member of the Kelso Elks, Kelso Eagles, and Kelso American Legion Post.
Survivors include the widow, Birdie; one son, Lincoln of Kelso; one sister, Mrs. Bessie LaPlant of Kelso; one brother, Wilbert of Kelso; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Chapel with the ?rev. Philip Laurie officiating. Interment will be in the Cowlitz Memorial Gardens. The Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home is n charge.
